A research competition
Entrants work on a quantitative problem — a strategy, a factor, a model — and are judged on the research behind it, not on a headline number alone.
Standard
Held to the method the firm already publishes.
The league does not invent a second rulebook. These are the research practice's own published rules, and they are what an entry is read against.
- A stated method. How a result was produced is part of the result, and it is published with it.
- A re-runnable record. A figure that cannot be produced a second time from the same inputs is not evidence.
- Risk alongside return. A return without its drawdown is not a measurement, and the practice does not publish one.
- Nothing unevidenced. What cannot be shown is left out, however good it would look on a terminal.
